ST AUGUSTINE – Mike Davis, a candidate for House District 17, thanks the supporters who came out for the Chamber “Politics in St Johns” Rally.
Over 250 attended the Rally and participated in a straw poll that gauged preferences in several local, state, and national races. Davis received 153 votes out of 238 cast for the three candidates in the House District 17 race.
“I want to thank the St Johns Chamber of Commerce for providing this opportunity for residents to meet the candidates and voice their support. I appreciate the confidence that voters across this county are placing in my campaign. I will continue to work hard to spread the message of the importance of job creation, quality education, less government and genuine integrity,” said Davis.
Davis is President of A.D. Davis Construction, a family business. He grew up in St. Augustine and now, with his wife of 23 years, Darcy, raises four children there. Davis has served on many community boards, and is past president of the St. Augustine Rotary, the St. Augustine YMCA and The Arc of St. Johns.
Davis has been endorsed by Rep. Bill Proctor, Sheriff David Shoar, Commissioner Mark Miner, Property Appraiser Sharon Outland, and Associated Industries of Florida.
